SPLIT CAVITY
Two-piece, split cavity dies can be manufactured from P20, high hard P20, A2 or D2 tooling steel. Duralife Dies are commonly aligned with dowel pins, keyways, or angle lock designs and hard chrome plated to a thickness of 0.0010" to 0.0015". All Duralife dies are polished to a 10 micro inch finish or better.
Martin Pultrusion Group has the capability to produce complex dies of up to 80" in length and over 50" wide.

Gun drilled dies are available from small diameters to large diameters. All are hard chrome plated to the maximum thickness possible in the process.

Often times we find opportunities to design dies such that they can be assembled in several ways or modified with replacement, or extra, inserts to alter the geometry of the resulting profile. Modify a wall thickness or add/remove a section of a profile by having MPG design a family die.
